Recurring Images

Although many of the image components appear familiar (that is, not exotic) they are original renderings. To employ one of those images in multiple paintings is to make that image familiar. Familiar objects trigger a different thought process than do exotic or novel images, and repetition tends to suggest purpose.

An occasional by-product of recurring use is that an image, although simple or unimportant, begins to accumulate gravity with repeated use.
